Ria, the designer behind Fen & Co, originally trained in zoology and worked in the environmental field, always deeply connected to the natural world. Her love of wildlife, organic textures, and traditional crafts inspires her unique, small-scale jewellery collections. Working mainly with recycled silver, wood, and metal clay, she creates one-of-a-kind, nature-inspired jewellery that feels both timeless and meaningful. Every piece is crafted with care, embracing the imperfect beauty of organic forms—just like nature itself.

The name Fen & Co is a tribute to Fen, Ria’s first and much-loved Schipperke, who was her loyal companion and adventure partner. Just like Fen, her work embodies a free-spirited, adventurous, and deeply personal connection to the world around us.

After moving to the Algarve, Ria was captivated by Portugal’s rich heritage of artisanship and traditional craftsmanship. From intricate tile work to handwoven textiles, the country’s artistry fuels her creative process. She is passionate about keeping handmade traditions alive while ensuring her work is as sustainable as possible. Every jewellery piece is made using 100% recycled metals, and all packaging is eco-friendly and plastic-free—perfect for those who care about the planet as much as they do about beautiful, meaningful design.

Beyond jewellery, Ria is now sharing her love of handmade craftsmanship with DIY craft kits for both children and adults. These kits offer a therapeutic, hands-on experience, introducing makers to the joy of creating something unique and useful. Whether it’s through macramé, metal clay, or other traditional crafts, Ria believes in the power of making with your hands—connecting with nature, slowing down, and embracing creativity.
