Striking black cockatoo hoop earrings!

These gorgeous eye catching earrings started their life as a beautiful antique illustration. First I restore the artwork back to it's original beautiful detail by highlighting the colours and unique features. This is then printed by a company specialising in gallery standard prints using the latest fade resistant inks.

I attach each image to 4mm thick Birch wood and laser each bird individually to ensure I get the exact finish I'm after. Every cockatoo is finished by hand with a luxurious gloss sealant and can be strung on a variety of hoops (sterling silver, plated and goldfill) - your choice at checkout. I always use lead and nickel free hoops in all my work :)

Size of cockatoo - 4.5 cm H x  3 cm W

Hoop size 2 cm - sterling silver, silver plate and goldfill

Hoop size 2.5cm - antique bronze

What is goldfill? Goldfill is a solid gold layer over a base metal. It has the same appearance as high karat gold and is 5-10 times thicker than gold plate and tarnish resistant. An excellent mid point between solid gold and gold plate. As these birds are made from paper and wood, please keep them away from water. Your earrings will come gift wrapped on branded Kraft card, wrapped in tissue paper and placed in an organza bag.
